Dear Customer,
Happy Month of Love
The snow is blowing and the wind is howling but there is also much silence at this time of winter rest in our adopted Iowa home.

This month we would like to highlight our books imported from Croatia.

These titles are truly gems of wisdom and are our website’s Best Sellers. These are a must for anyone who practices the TM technique.

The titles in this wonderful collection are as follows:

Questions and Answers
Ritam Bhara Pragya
Beacon Light Of the Himalayas
Vedas
World Peace and Deep Meditation
Artist and Scientist
Power of Silence Our Best Seller
Maharishi’s Lectures on Indian Philosophy
Maharishi Answers Questions
Guru Purnima
Sankhya Sutras
Vedanta Sutras

The booklets are created by the head of the TM Center in Croatia and the proceeds help fund the movement there.

Unfortunately the costs of the booklets from Croatia rise with each order we place.  This is due to many contributing factors such as the weakening of the dollar to the Euro, the high cost of air shipping and the expense of wire transfers. We have tried to keep the price as low as we possibly can.

We feel that despite the continuing rising costs of the booklets, the knowledge contained herein is priceless and we think you will agree.

Stay warm! The days are getting longer and the warmth of spring will soon arrive.

Tony

I agree with Tony that the knowledge in these books and pamphlets is priceless.  I would urge everyone to start with The Power of Silence, and then go to Questions and Answers.  After that readers should go with their field of interest, based on the title.

Part of our mission here at 21st Century Books is to help our customers discover really great books that otherwise might go undiscovered.  I hope some of you will go to our website and go to Len’s Picks, where I have posted a number of books that I believe meet that criteria.  Here are a few more I really enjoyed and should be of interest to all kinds of readers.  In each case, for a full description go to our website and read the review.

Cave in the Snow is an incredible story and one which women, especially, should find most inspirational.  Surely You’re Joking Mr. Feynman is one of the most enjoyable and interesting autobiographies I have ever read.  Richard Feynman is one unique dude!!  If you have never read Kurt Vonnegut, or like me you read him 30 years ago and forgot why you liked him, please read Slaughterhouse Five.  I think it is one of the best, most important and most enjoyable novels written in the 20th Century.  I would guess that few of you have heard of And There Was Light, autobiography of Jacques Lusseryran, blind hero of the French Resistance.  This is one of Tony’s all-time favorites which I just read.  It is enthralling, enlightening, and revealing.   This is one for everybody to read and enjoy.

Finally, if you like travel journals, I have 2 fine ones to recommend.  Check out our reviews of Holy Cow and A Fortune Teller Told Me.  While I can’t say these are truly great books, they are well done and insightful and lots of fun to read.

So, enjoy some of these books by the fire or if you are lucky enough to be in a warm place, by the pool or on the beach.

Have a great month, Len
