Len & Dena Oppenheim and Tony & Sharon Kainauskas are pleased to announce that 21st Century Books has now opened our innovative, unique, and easy to use website. Please visit us at www.21stbooks.com. Our site is designed to help you find great books for your reading pleasure. As many of you know, the 21st Century Books was a Fairfield fixture and popular destination for over 22 years. Owing to the changing dynamics in the book business and other factors, Tony and Sharon Kainauskas were considering closing the store in the summer of 2004. Instead, with the help of Len and Dena Oppenheim and a few outside investors, we moved to a new location, increased our inventory, and have worked very hard to develop a website which we believe will provide a unique opportunity for many people to discover, select, and purchase books that will maximize their reading pleasure. We are looking for people who want to find trustworthy advice and information about great books to read. If you like to read and are interested in finding special books that will provide you with many hours of reading pleasure, we hope you will try and use our new website. We know we cannot compete with Amazon on price or selection. Our goal is to carve out a niche for “Discerning Readers.” If you are tired of wasting time reading books that are just OK, we urge you to come to our website to find a selection of “books that matter for people who care.” We have designed our site for Browsing. We have created unique categories to pique your interest, and have organized outstanding books by subject, so that you can find books that will excite you and please you in areas of your own specific interest. We and our trusted friends and associates have reviewed hundreds of books that we believe represent excellence in print. The books are organized by unique categories, subject matter, and/or author. You can browse for just the right book to fit your mood and needs. We believe you will find the reviews useful and insightful. Furthermore, we welcome and encourage your inquiries and feedback. We pledge to provide the service that only a local independent bookstore can provide. In addition to our easy to use website you may call us at (800) 593-2665 or (641) 472-5105. We will answer any and all emails. Our address is service@21stbooks.com. We have a very deep selection of books related to spiritual seeking, the philosophical quest for truth, holistic health, and other topics of interest to those seeking ideas and wisdom slightly out of the mainstream. We continue to be the world’s best source for books about TM, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Jyotish, Sanskrit Studies and many related subjects. Please check out the website or give us a call for details. Of course, outstanding works of fiction, political science, sociology, psychology, science, autobiography/ biography and other traditional areas are also featured on our website. Books make fabulous gifts. We have created various gift categories to help you make your gift selections. We will gift wrap, mail, and enclose a card with your purchase. We opened our new bookstore on September 1, 2004. We are gratified by the response of the Fairfield Community. However, our foot traffic alone, in this small market, is not enough to sustain us. We hope that many of you, especially those who have been to Fairfield and know what a great resource our store is to the community, will use our website to order books and support our endeavor. We believe that anything and everything you need to know about our store and our services is available on our website: www.21stbooks.com. If you have any questions or comment call or email us. Remember, you can’t call Amazon but you can call us. We hope you will avail yourselves of our value added service and offering and become loyal customers. Future newsletters will be devoted to providing information about specific books or other topics of current interest. We hope you will help us spread the word by forwarding this newsletter to friends you know who might have an interest in our website and future newsletters. |
